Fair Farms Pathways
As a Fair Farms Member you are declaring to your consumers, retailers and workers that you are committed to upholding your workplace practices to the Fair Farms Standard.
It is important to read the Fair Farms Standard, Rules & Audit Guide prior to joining to fully understand your commitment. Certification is available to those business who have a contractual requirement to demonstrate social compliance to a third party via the Audit Pathways

The Non-Audit Pathway is designed for growers and businesses not supplying major retailers or their agents, NAP offers a streamlined way to assess risk and boost workplace systems. Signing up is easy—just opt in during registration. You will be prompted to provide an overview of your business operations details and will need to complete the OSA and any required training (same as for audit pathway participants), however on this pathway you are not required to go to audit. If your supply chain needs change, you can switch to the Audit Pathway anytime.
You’ll also receive support from the Fair Farms team, access to tailored training, and important resources—including the Fair Farms Manual (additional cost)—to help you prepare and maintain best-practice systems.

The Audit Pathway is ideal for growers and businesses that supply major retailers or work with wholesalers and agents who do. This pathway ensures you meet responsible sourcing requirements through an independent third-party audit, giving your customers confidence in your commitment to ethical and fair farming practices.
Alongside the audit, you'll have access to expert support from the Fair Farms team, tailored training, and important resources—including the Fair Farms Manual (additional cost) —to help you prepare and stay compliant.

The Audit Pathway for Labour Hire Providers is designed specifically for businesses supplying labour to growers and others in the horticulture supply chain—especially those working with major retailers or their agents. This pathway includes a third-party audit to verify your compliance with Fair Farms standards and responsible sourcing requirements, giving your clients confidence in your ethical employment practices.
You’ll also receive support from the Fair Farms team, access to tailored training, and important resources—including the Fair Farms Manual (additional cost)—to help you prepare and maintain best-practice systems.

Registration
Determine the correct pathway for your business then Register Online and pay the annual fee for your pathway:
Non-Audit Pathway $150
Audit Pathway $250

Step 2
Online Self-Assessment (OSA)
Log into your Member Portal to complete the OSA.
This is an annual check of your workplace practices against the Fair Farms Standard.
Allow 45 – 60 min.

Complete E-Learning
Training modules are purchased as required through the Member Portal

AUDIT & LHP ONLY
Step 4
Book 3rd Party Audit
Certification requires workplace practices to be independently audited to confirm compliance with the Fair Farms Standard.

Certification
On Satisfactory completion of an approved audit and closure of any finding, Fair Farms Certification is issued.

Are you a Supplier?
The Fair Farms Audit and Non-Audit Pathway is open to all businesses operating within the Australian horticulture, agriculture, nursery and viticulture supply chain that:
- Grow or pack produce for wholesale or retail, and/or
- Operate as an aggregator, distributor, broker or agent supplying produce for wholesale or retail sale.

Are you LHP?
The Fair Farms LHP Audit pathway is open to all Labour Hire Providers supplying on-hire labour to businesses within the Australian horticulture, agriculture, nursery and viticulture supply chain.

Are you a Buyer?
Assist your suppliers in meeting their social compliance reporting requirements by registering as a Fair Farms Buyer. Participating suppliers can choose to share their data with you, giving visibility into their certification progress and enabling you to support them to stay on track.

Approved Auditing Bodies
You can schedule a Fair Farms audit once you have completed the Online Self Assessment (OSA) and completed required training.
