Horticulture Award Pay Rates Effective 1 July 2026
The updated Horticulture Award pay rates, effective from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026, are now available.
This guide has been prepared by Fair Farms to help horticulture businesses understand the new minimum wage rates and the practical changes they need to make before processing their next payroll.
In addition to the annual wage increase, employers should also review employee classifications.
A commonly overlooked requirement of the Horticulture Award is that employees must progress from Level 1 (C14) to Level 2 (C13) after completing three months of employment in the horticulture industry.
This three-month period is cumulative and may include previous employment with other horticulture employers.
The guide includes:
Updated hourly pay rates from 1 July 2026
Casual, full-time and part-time rates
Overtime and allowance information
Junior Pay Rates
Fair Farms members can also access practical HR support and workplace compliance advice to help implement these changes with confidence.
